The area around Garmisch is gorgeous, with majestic mountains and picturesque little villages. Found lots of opportunities for pictures-- here's a small sample:

LOL, that's so funny! I just looked this up at Wikipedia and the word (with a slightly different spelling - Muckefuck) is, or was, actually used to describe a coffee substitute. It comes from "mocca faux".
A childhood friend of my dad's who still lives in their home town in Bregenz, Austria married a woman from Garmisch and she told us many times how lovely it was there and how much she missed it.
