Force of nature

Yesterday we made a day trip down to the Rheinfall (in Schaffhausen, Switzerland), the largest waterfall in Europe.

The weather was gorgeous and we hiked around the outer rim.

Here's a quick video of the first section of the waterfall in case you need a 17 second virtual field trip:

Not much else to say this morning. What are you up to today?

working, cursing at the software error that is still pulling our hair out (although I am more indifferent...1 more working day and I go on vacation too and my boss has to deal with the error....He'd better have it fixed by the time I come back ;) ).

being tired and drinking way too much coffee for me...as a result running frequently to the bathroom

Hi Betsy, and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Yes, I was lucky enough to have a lot of khachapuri when I was there and especially Shashlik, because I was in Kazachi Cossack country. I was there that time in the fall of 1987, so things were on the cusp of changing, but hadn't actually changed yet.

Were you in Russia, too? Drop me an e-mail if you want...

I don't find too many people who had the experience of living there. (Who aren't from the former USSR)

Oh, and beautiful waterfall! I'll definitely be back to your blog. My day yesterday was spent getting my DS ready for high school, lol.

Depressing while job searching and cleaning the house.

However the day will pick up considerably around 5 PM when I'll be off to start my new Tai Chi class that a friend of mine convinced me to try!

Well, Rheinfall is not at all Europe's biggest waterfall! It's Dettifoss on Iceland spitting much more water down each second... SCNR

Hi Jogge! This cracked me up because a friend of mine just got back from "Europe's tallest waterfall".

Next we'll have to visit "Europe's most interesting waterfall" and "Europe's wettest waterfall". I guess it's all in the way you market it...
