Oh yeahhhhhhhh

Usually I end the day with my dignity intact. Today, however, was not one of those days.

I was walking to school and realized too late that two workmen sitting in a parked van had overheard me singing.

And not just any old song, but one from Kool and the Gang...

to my dog.

And I was replacing some of the words with her name....

That would have already been bad enough, but I was also channeling Cheb Tarik.

Shit. I might have to move out of this neighborhood. That or wear a false moustache from now on whenever I leave the house.

Oh no you didn't! Ha! I know the song but had never heard this version. It's catchy, but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard!

At least you were probably singing it better than he does!

Oh NO! I hadn't even thought about that. Maybe I should go ahead and contact my lawyer now... ;-)

But then Kool and the Gang...

You get the picture...

I say the dumbest things to my dog when I'm walking him. I should have left my neighborhood years ago. At least I know I'm not the only one.

LOL, Betsy... I'm all discombobulated this week and don't know how I kept missing your posts! This was hysterical. Okay... so which Kool and the Gang song was it?

Actually it was "ooh la la la, let's go dancing!" :-D

I couldn't find a video for that one, but apparently Cheb Tarik has a thing for Kool and the Gang because he's done Reggae Rai as well. (which is the video clip attached to this post)

I'm starting to wonder if maybe he's tone-deaf after that one-- you know, equal opportunity for "voice challenged" people...

But on the other hand, I'm listening to it over and over and it's getting stuck in my head so I'm not really in a position to bash it all that much, am I? ;-)

Hahahahahahaha!
That's hilarious, really. I totally love that you were throwing the DOG's name into the lyrics. Extremely satisfying, having that bit of detail!

I needed that laugh!! Hilarious *lol*

I probably shouldn't laugh too loud though. God knows what my neighbours think of me when I'm out with my weird fishing rod with a mouse attached to it trying to lure my cat back inside in the evenings...
