Spent the day yesterday with the Dalai Lama. The teaching itself was a little dry, but it was a pleasure to bask in his radiant charisma.
The program he's giving this weekend sounds fantastic! He'll be speaking about the links between the economy, science and spirituality and will participate in a panel discussion on the economic crisis, poverty, climate change and personal responsibility. I would have loved to have been able to see it but the timing just wasn't right for me.
Now I've got to start packing the camper in earnest. There is so much to be done before we leave for vacation early tomorrow morning! We'll be spending a week hiking in the mountains in Valle d'Aosta and two weeks on Lake Garda. Care to join us?

Yes please can i join you? Is there room in that camper for crazy sea-bound online strangers? I miss camping.. yet another summer in the rainy baltic looking out my porthole :)
You're on! We've got a sofa that folds out into a comfortable bed for two-- come on over! The windows are bigger than your porthole and other than us there won't be any other crazy guests around with off-the-wall music requests for you to play...
Oooo! I want to join, too. I'm really envious (but in a totally supportive, gee-I-hope-you-all-have-a-great-time kind of way).
Come on by, Jen! We can go check out the farmers' markets together!
And I promise I won't beg you to cook "What's Cooking" recipes for me EVERY evening. (maybe just most of them! ;-) )
Me too? I wouldn't mind curling up in a corner...
I'd help with the dishes and all!
